Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 June 2026

This policy explains what data Distill collects, why, and your rights over it.Distill is operated by Jasper Winkelmans ("we", "us"). If you have any questions, email supportdistill@gmail.com.

The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service — your email to sign you in, a daily count to enforce limits, and your subscription status. We do not store the text you paste on our servers, we don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising trackers.

What we collect

Why we use it (legal bases under the GDPR)

Who processes your data (sub-processors)

Each is a reputable provider with its own privacy commitments. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Daily usage counters reset each day. If you delete your account, we delete the associated personal data, except where we must keep limited records (for example, billing records required by law).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email supportdistill@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in (set by Clerk). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

Distill is not directed at children under the age of digital consent in their country. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll update the date at the top, and significant changes will be made clear.
